Botswana will host the African Qualifiers for the World Baseball Softball Confederation World Cup at National Diamond in Gaborone from 6-10 February 2023.
The Qualifiers will have six teams, Botswana as the host nation, South Africa, Tanzania, Lesotho, Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
Only two top teams from the African Qualifiers will have the opportunity to compete at the World Cup.
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage matches will be played from 11-26 July 2023 in Ireland for Group A from 11-15 July 2023, Italy from 18-22 July 2023 for Group B and Spain from 22-26 July 2023 for Group C and the tournament will be the first event to be played under the new Two-Stage format.
Groups with Teams that Qualified:
Group A: Ireland (host), Australia, Great Britain, USA, Africa 2 and Asia 3.
Group B: Spain (host), Cuba, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Africa 1 and Asia 2.
Group C: Italy (host), Canada, New Zealand, Venezuela, Asia 1 and a wild card.
