The Blue Bulls have emulated their male colleagues in form over the past weekend, when they soundly beat SA Rugby’s Women’s Inter-Provincial tournament crown contenders Vodacom Western Province at home on Saturday morning.

The Rugby IPT comes to an end with the Bulls stamping their authority in each encounter, their pool-stage performances showing a positive points difference of 155 in four victories against WP, Eastern Province, Border and the KZN Women’s team.

Western Province had shown promise leading up to the final, having dispatched South Western Districts 51-8 in Mossel Bay in their semi-final, but the Bulls made most of home-ground conditions to show their Pool A colleagues the door.

The Bulls had humiliated Pool B’s Boland 111-nil in their semi-final on 30 September, and Saturday’s result unquestionably places the Pretoria team firmly at the top of SA’s women’s rugby pile.
