South Africa’s Celina Joseph bagged the World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 Gaborone Girls Singles title on Saturday, 15 April 2023.
Joseph bounced back from a set down to defeat Zimbabwe’s Tadiwanashe-Eunice Mauchi 2-6, 6-2, and 6-2.
In the earlier rounds, Joseph beat Bashali Phatshwane of Botswana 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinal, and Zahara El Zain of Zimbabwe 6-7, 5-7, 6-3 in the semi-final.
Mauchi and Chelsea Chakanyuka defeated Joseph and Sophia Fuller 6-1, 6-7, 10-6 in the doubles championship.
