Central Gauteng and Easterns registered comfortable wins over Northerns and Eastern Province, respectively, in the Women’s A Section on Day 2 of the Kaplan Interprovincial Squash Championships, at East London on Tuesday, after Western Province opened the tournament with a runaway win over Easterns on Monday.
Wins by Emma Beddoes, Diana Argyle and Adel Weir Nunan saw Central Gauteng through, while Lauren Siddall, Angie Clifton-Parks and Michelle Kohne did the good work for Easterns after the team’s Day 1 woes.
Border A recorded the most striking team performance of the day in the B Section, with Janet Byrnes, Geraldine Morcom, Maryke Coetzee, Bianca Brown and Caryn Sirgel each winning their encounter for an emphatic 20:0 clean sheet.
