Clinique's (from left) Kay Matseba, Emmerencia Wilding and Genee Nee celebrate the company's new deal with gsport ... for Girls! Editor, Kass Naidoo (second from left).

As gsport … for Girls! celebrates our first birthday today, we are also delighted to announce that gsport has signed on Clinique as its first commercial partner.

The official announcement was made earlier today at the posh Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg, during the inaugural gsport Awards, which recognised the valuable contributions of women in sport, and paid tribute to outstanding South African women who serve as role-models.

gsport Editor Kass Naidoo said: “It’s a massive privilege to work alongside a brand like Clinique on this exciting platform. One of gsport’s aims is to provide its readers with credible information, so we can learn how to be better women, whatever we choose to do. We appreciate Clinique’s focus on education, and feel that the two brands are a perfect match.

Clinique is one of the world’s leading brands of prestige skin care, makeup and fragrance products, and will sponsor the Feature Article Component of the gsport website, which publishes educational, interesting, and entertaining stories on a monthly basis, specifically aimed at women.

“Our association with Clinique formally kicks off on 1 September, for which we have planned some exciting developments, and we look forward to unveiling more information closer to the time.”

Clinique brand manager, Emmerencia Wilding said: “We at Clinique are thrilled to be part of a project aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle and injecting life into the future of women’s sport. Clinique is dedicated to the future of healthy skin, making this a perfect partnership.”

The gsport … for Girls! initiative was launched last August by cricket commentator, Kass Naidoo, to raise the profile of women in sport and showcase outstanding South African women.

gsport publishes a monthly edition of Leading Ladies and Feature Articles, and a daily newsroom featuring breaking women’s sports news. Find out more at www.gsport.co.za
