Coal City Wizards recorded their fourth win with a high score of 5-0 over City Lads at Gelvandale Stadium in Match Seven of the Hollywoodbets Super League action, on Saturday, 28 May 2022.
City Wizards weren’t the only team to record goals in what was more than 30 netters in Saturday’s matches.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, Ma Indies Ladies and UJ FC, made certain of not staying behind where scores were concerned.
Banyana Ba Style retained their top spot status after beating Thunderbirds Ladies 5-1, while Ma Indies maintained their winning ways defeating Bloemfontein’s Tsunami Queens 5-2 at Platberg Stadium.
The UJ students showed no compassion playing on their home turf, UJ Soweto Soccer Stadium, where they thrashed Golden Ladies 5-1.
At Siwelele Park, Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies remained in the top five of the log standings after a 2-0 win over Richmond United Ladies.
Elsewhere, a tough game it was, with TUT FC and JWV Girls Football Club sharing the spoils after a 2-all draw at Wits Stadium, moving the Blue Diamonds down to second position on the log standings.
UWC remain in fourth spot despite their 3-0 win over First Touch FC.
The final encounter of the weekend saw Durban Ladies secure a victory with a solitary goal from Mbaliyethu Mhlongo over CR Vasco Da Gama to go one place up to position 12 with 9 points on Sunday, 29 May 2022.
