In another round of the Women’s Premier Division and First Division competitions, it was once again the Bulls Daisies and Free State Cheetahs, respectively, who dominated their matches over the weekend.
Daisies hosted Mastercard Golden Lions at Loftus Versveld on Saturday, 17 June. The home team made sure to entertain the crowd as they defeated their neighbours 72-7.
The win ensures that Daisies remain undefeated in the Women’s Premier Division at the summit of the log standings.
Kat de Vries was awarded Player of the Match for her outstanding performances on the day.
While, in the Women’s First Division, it was the Free State Cheetahs who came out on top. The ladies from Bloemfontein travelled to the Northern Cape where they faced Griquas Women at Windhoek Draught Park in Kimberley.
It was a tough encounter for the homeside as the ladies from the Free State dominated from the start and walked away with a 87-12 victory.
The match between the Sharks and Boland Dames was unfortunately postponed this past weekend due to the flooding in the Western Cape and damaged roads, therefore Boland Dames were unable to travel to Durban. However, both teams have agreed that the match will be played at a later stage.
