Daleen Unbeaten After Day One

Veteran Daleen Terblanche top scored with an unbeaten 60 as the South African women’s cricket team ended day one of their historic one-off four-day test against the
Netherlands in Hazelaarweg,

, on 159/5 in 58.2 overs.

Many of the batters got starts, but failed to capitalise and go on. Claire Terblanche, who opened with Daleen, made 30, while captain CriZelda Brits weighed in with 21.

Vice-captain Johmari Logtenberg was out for 13, Alicia Smith made 21, and Shibnam Ismael was dismissed for 1.

Earlier, play was delayed until 15:45 because of wet conditions. Play ended at 19.00.
