Ann-Katrin Berger, Mary Earps and Christiane Endler have been unveiled as the three finalists for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award 2022, on Wednesday 8 February 2023.

The prestigious award recognizes the most outstanding performers in the women’s game, from the period of 7 August 2021 to 31 July 2022.
During this stated period, Berger’s character and strength was tested immensely when she was re-diagnosed with thyroid cancer, having been in remission for four years.
The 32-year-old continued to play for her club and country – reaching the final of the 2022 Women’s EURO 22 with Germany and lifting the Women’s Super League and FA Cup double with Chelsea.
Earps played every minute of the England’s tournament triumph at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, keeping four clean sheets and being named in the Team of the Tournament.
Endler will be looking to defend her title, having won this award back in 2021. Having made the switch from Paris St Germain to rivals Lyon in the same year, the Chilean enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign with her new club.
The 31-year-old stopper won a domestic title and the UEFA Women’s Champions League double.
She was also named in the Team of the Year for both the Champions League and the French top-flight.
The winner will be announced at a Paris ceremony on 27 February 2023.
