South African rising tennis star, Gabriella Broadfoot, reached a memorable milestone to rank among the world’s top 100 junior girls.

The 17-year-old who is based in Florida in USA, moved up 67 spots to 98th on the International Tennis Federation’s Junior rankings after reaching the final of the J1 Lambare – an ITF junior Grade 1 event in Paraguay.

Broadfoot defeated Argentina’s world no.81 Lucia Peyre, world no.42 Nina Vargova from Slovakia, Martina Pavissich from Chile, and Maelie Monfils of France en-route to the final round.

She, however, lost 4-6, 6-3, 2-6 to Luciana Moyano of Argentina to earn a runners-up medal.
