Gauteng North A Wins IPT Champs

Gauteng North A played some splendid golf throughout the week and battled
it out against stiff competition to win the A division of the Pick n Pay
Inter-Provincial Team Championship played at Clovelly Golf Club in Cape Town. 

In the final
team results, Gauteng North A were undefeated and finished two points ahead of
A-Division defending champions, Gauteng Lions, while Western Province A
finished third and North West fourth.

Winning
captain Yolande Storm of Gauteng North A will have been delighted with her
team’s performance, having been ousted from the A Division of the Championship
by Southern Cape and North West
last year.

Southern Cape
won the B Division, Western Province B won the C Division, and Mpumalanga won the D
Division.

For the
second year in a row, North West
teenager Bertine Strauss won the Individual Stroke play title.
