GG Returns to Head #gsportWCG

by | Sep 23, 2020

In a bid to power coverage of women’s sport in South Africa forward, gsport is launching its WhatsApp Communications Group (#gsportWCG).

The launch of #gsportWCG is inspired by the success of the #gsport15 online service used to unite finalists during the campaign, which was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 lockdown.

Founder of gsport, Kass Naidoo, said: “We are successfully using the online space to grow the gsport community and we recently found WhatsApp to be a useful tool in keeping in touch on the go, reaching a new community of online users.”

“GG was a huge hit during #gsport15 as she found a way to be a superhero to everyone who needed her. We are delighted that GG returns after a much-needed break to head the #gsportWCG. Her passion for women’s sport is unmatched.”

Women’s sport media practitioners – including content creators and editors, media officers, journalists, photographers and videographers – are encouraged to join the group and help make the circle of support for women’s sport bigger.
