From the finest Swiss chocolate, the most graceful of fragrances and delicate high fashion jewellery, international travellers from around the world yearn for the next opportunity to visit the bounties to be found at Big Five Duty Free emporiums.
But in addition to the burgeoning shelves of Big Five’s high-society fare, the group is also know for its thoughtful stocking of the most needful of things a traveller might desire, conveniently accessible from within the country’s best international departure lounges.
This year, gsport was once again honoured to sign Big Five Duty Free as the 2015 SPAR gsport Awards luxury gifting partner, and at the evening’s conclusion, winners were seen happily leaving with bulging gift hampers.
Helena Melis, on behalf of Big Five Duty Free, loves working with gsport, saying that the hampers are just a small reward for the winners’ hard work.
“I know the difficulties and turmoil that women have to endure to become champions in their chosen sports, as well as the inspirational mantra’s which are chanted by coaches and athletes themselves before and whilst preparing and competing,” she said.
Melis believes empowering women is a big cause, and hopes to bring a smile to the face of each winner, and for the winner to enjoy their gift. “We want the winners this year to know that all their hard work and dedication is acknowledged, and appreciated,” she added.
Melis says since she herself likes receiving gifts and prefers a mixture of special and useful, luxury and ordinary, she has incorporated all these elements to the gifts being handed out this year.
She says her hopes is for Big Five Duty Free’s partnership with gsport to make females in sports feel appreciated.
