gsport…for Girls! editor and SABC Sport Cricket Commentator Kass Naidoo is the only woman among the five nominees for the Best Sports Presenter Award at this year’s 7th Annual Crystal Awards.
It’s the third time Kass has been nominated for this award. Her first nomination was back in 2005, when she won.
This year Kass is up against worthy competition in the form of Tony Ndoro and Neil Andrews from SuperSport, and the 94.7 Highveld Stereo duo of Graeme Joffe, and John Walland.
Profiling Kass in its latest edition, People Magazine wrote: “Cricket should be Kass Naidoo’s middle name. This young and sexy presenter keeps us informed on everything that’s going on, proving that women can be sports lovers too – plus she’s good at what she does!”
Reacting to her nomination, Kass said: “It’s an honour being nominated. The Crystal Awards itself is an amazing experience, and showcases from among the country’s top talent each year.”
Also nominated this year are two gsport Leading Ladies, firstly our August 2006 Woman and a multiple-Crystal award winner Leanne Manas, who has once again been nominated for Best Female TV Presenter and Best-dressed Female Presenter categories.
Cartle Blanche anchor and gsport May 2007 Woman of the Month Ruda Landman is also nominated for Best Female TV Presenter.
