Three Port Shepstone girls contested the inaugural Peugeot SA Masters Cup Women’s final, only for ex-World Championship Tour surfer Heather Clark to take the crown ahead of Kay Holt and Candi Cole, confirming her status as one of South Africa’s top surfers.
Decent conditions on all three days of competition were a feature of the event which began Friday September 14, and was completed in good four- to five foot offshore surf, at St Michaels on Sea on the KZN South Coast, on Sunday.
The finalists in all five divisions at the 2007 Peugeot SA Masters Cup shared R9000 in prize-money, which was presented by Surfing South Africa and hosted by Southern KZN Surfing Association.
