Kenya’s Hellen Obiri pulled ahead of Ethiopia’s Amane Beriso to win the 127th edition of the Boston Marathon on Monday, 17 April 2023.

The two-time world champion over 5 000m, crossed the finish line in 2:21:38 in the second marathon of her career.
Beriso took second in 2:21:50, while Israel’s Lonah Salpeter rounded up the podium 2:21:57.
In 2022, Obiri competed in the New York City marathon where she finished in sixth place.
