Banyana Banyana star, Hildah Magaia, grabbed headlines after the announcement of her two-year contract with Swedish club, Morön BK was revealed on Wednesday, 24 February 2021.

The move brought to an end the 25-year-old’s journey with South African National Women’s League team Tshwane University of Technology – a team where she gained her career breakthrough.
Her former team Tweeted, “Hey TUT Sport Fam! We would like to congratulate TUT Women’s Football Captain and Banyana Banyana star, Hilda Tholakele Magaia, on signing a professional contract with Morön BK in Sweden. We wish her all the best on her new venture!”

Her arrival in Sweden makes her the second Banyana Banyana star currently playing in the European country after Linda Motlhalo arrived at Djurgardens in 2019.
Commenting on her switch, Magaia described to a Swedish newspaper that joining Moron was “a fantastic opportunity.”
Having settled at the club, Magaia will be hoping to make her professional debut against Pitea on Sunday, 28 February 2021.
