India concluded an impressive whitewash over SA U19, after a 7-wicket victory in the final match at Steyn City School Ground in Pretoria on Wednesday, 4 January 2023.
The South Africans won the toss and elected to bat first. The Oluhle Siyo-captained side were restricted to 54 all out after 13.2 overs, with Kayla Reyneke top scoring with 20 runs and Siyo with 12.
Elandri Janse van Rensburg earned 9 runs, while Simone Lourens and Karabo Meso were dismissed by Sonam Yadav after 4 runs and a run, respectively.
Jemma Botha only made one run on the day, as she was bowled out by Parshavi Chopra.
In the run chase, India replied with 55/3 in 9.2 overs, with Seshnie Naidu dismissing Shafali Verma 22 off 24 balls and Richa Gosh for 7 (6).
Gongadi Trisha (10*) and Soumya Tiwari (4*) finished off the match for the Indian side.
