The gsport Initiative is proud to unveil the first set of monthly Newsmakers intake in the build-up to our fifth edition of the gsport Annual List event powered by Momentum, in partnership with Telkom, in December 2023.
This list includes women in sport, who are pushing the boundaries and breaking records across the globe.
2022 Momentum gsport Awards Ministerial recipient, Ashleigh Buhai features on the list as she concluded the year with the Australian Open title, earning her first Australian crown.
We celebrate the achievements of Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies’ Boitumelo Rabale as she was named Hollywoodbets Super League Player of the Season.
Leading the way both on and off the shore, Christy Gilmour is the first woman elected chairwoman and the youngest person in the position for the South African Longboarding Association.
Also making the list is award-winning mountaineer and explorer Saray Khumalo, who successfully completed her sixth summit at Mount Vinson.
