The pools have been divided into two groups of four teams with the tournament set to take place in Valencia, Spain from 11-17 December 2022.
Pool A consists of hosts Spain with Korea, Ireland and Italy. Pool B sees South Africa alongside India, Japan and Canada.
The FIH Hockey Nations Cup hopes to bring in a new structure of a promotion and relegation Pro League, with the winning team of the first FIH Hockey Nations Cup being given a chance to be promoted to the 2023-2024 FIH Hockey Pro League.
