Kruger reached the finals through qualifying rounds but fell short to Vitalia Diatchenko by 6-3, 6-2.

In the quarterfinals, Kruger defeated Anna Kubareva 6-2, 6-3 and Sakura Hosogi 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in the semi-final round.
