Czech duo Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova beat Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend 3-6 7-5 6-1 on Sunday, 11 September 2022.
They collected their third Grand Slam doubles title of the year and sixth overall as they are Australian Open and Wimbledon Open Champions, this year alone.
The pair are undefeated in the Grand Slam doubles tournaments they competed in this year, except they didn’t compete at the French Open but have won the Roland Garros back in 2018 and 2021.
Currently, Siniakova is number one in the doubles world rankings, while Krejcikova is number two.
Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova complete the Career Golden Slam.
The Czechs rally from a set and 1-4 down to d. Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend 36 75 61 to win #USOpen and complete the trophy case.
