Before returning home to a club she founded, van Wyk had joined the Greece side after securing Banyana Banyana’s maiden Africa Cup of Nations title in September 2022 in Morocco.
It won’t be the first time van comes back to Bedfordview, in January 2020 she came back after an injury during her feat with Hjorring was ended by a terrible knee injury.
As the Hollywoodbets Super League returns following a brief hiatus occupied by the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, on the log standings JVW are fifth with 37 points after 18 outings.
Their first clash back will be a visit to Ma-Indies at Giyani Stadium on Saturday, 26 August 2023. The game will start at 15:00.
The team will be hoping for better fortunes following the return of the stalwart.
