Momentum Proteas women’s all-rounder, Marizanne Kapp, will play at the Lord’s Cricket Ground for the first time when she represents the Rest of the World in an exhibition match against the Marylebone Cricket Club (M.C.C.) Women on 19 May 2014.

The match will form part of the celebrations for the Ground’s Bicentenary.

The match will see a women’s Rest of the World team assembled for the very first time and has been selected in association with the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Women’s Committee.

“This is a very exciting opportunity,” Kapp commented. “To play at Lord’s is every cricketer’s dream, and I am looking forward to stepping on to that field for the very first time.

“It is an honour to be considered to join the celebrations of this iconic ground and to be joined by some of the world’s best players. I’m looking forward to catching up with other players and also to playing a competitive and fun game,” she concluded.
