South Africa’s wheelchair tennis star Kgothatso Montjane and her doubles partner Manami Tanaka’s Australian Open Championship journey came to an end in Melbourne on Thursday, 26 January 2023.
The duo suffered a 6-2, 7-5 defeat to the second seeded pair of Yui Kamiji of Japan and Zhenzhen Zhu of China, in the doubles semi-finals.

Montjane and partner Tanaka previously secured a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Japanese pair Shiori Funamizu and Saki Takamuro in the quarter-final round.
