Nat Sciver Bags Top Honours at ICC Awards

England’s Nat Sciver earned two accolades, including the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year, as the final list of winners for the ICC Awards were released on Thursday, 26 January 2023.

The ODI Cricketer of the Year was awarded to Sciver after scoring 833 ODI runs. During the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup, she produced an all-time great innings of 148* from 122 in the final against Australia.

Her further outstanding performance in Tests of 242 runs at an average of 121, edged her to scoop the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

The Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year was awarded to India’s Renuka Singh, who picked 40 international wickets. She also appeared in the T20I Team of the Year.

Meanwhile, Tahlia McGrath walked away with the Women’s T20 Cricketer of the Year, as she scored 435 runs in 16 matches at an average of 62.14 and also took 13 wickets in 2022.

Esha Oza from UAE went home with a coveted award of ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year after she almost made 700 runs in 23 innings and picked up 15 wickets at an average of 15.4.
