Speaking to gsport after her victory, De Billot says: “I worked hard, so I’m really pleased I got the reward for it. The rain made the racing even more exciting than ever. Coming into CTCT 2022 I knew the bunch was going to the toughest bunch to beat yet and on top of it the weather conditions.”

Former SA Road Champion, Hayley Preen came in second, while Candice Lill completed the top three.

De Billot reveals winning the title for the third time is special after her victories in 2018 and 2021.

“Winning it for the 3rd time still gives me goosebumps. Coming back to defend my title was a huge amount of pressure for me – so the fact that I managed to defend it really is the cherry on top”, concluded Billot.
