South African-Mauritian racing cyclist Kim Le Court De Billot won her third consecutive Cape Town Cycle Tour women’s elite title on Sunday, 12 March 2023.
In perfect weather conditions, Le Court De Billot completed the race in a time of 02:13:20 to make it her third in a row and her fourth title overall.
She was followed by Vera Looser in second place and former Cycle Tour winner Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio in third.
In her post race interview Le Court De Billot said: “I feel really good today, the legs were there today, but then I was a bit frustrated. When the group came back there was no one really working together, I had to tell a few of the girls to wake up a bit. More sprinters came in and I told Hailey this is it we are done!”.
She concluded: “I am super proud of how I performed today, I was super nervous coming into the race, but I can’t believe it worked!”
