Netherlands speed skaters topped the charts at the World Short Track Championships, winning 5 gold medals in Seoul, South Korea, which concluded on Sunday, 12 March 2023.
The team produced a Dutch clean sweep in the 500 metres and the 1,500 metres, followed by the 1,000 metres on Saturday and then the 3,000 metres relay and the mixed relay on the final day of action.
21-year-old Xandra Velzeboer earned four gold medals, having won all but the 1,500 metres – which went to Suzanne Schulting, who bagged three golds.
