South African tennis junior, Leigh van Zyl, rose to the occasion in the final of the international Grade 4 tournament to claim the girls’ singles title at North-West University in Potchefstroom on Friday, 11 March 2022.

The third seed van Zyl delivered a stellar performance as she downed compatriot Tyla Wilmot in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) for her third ITF J4 singles title.
In the women’s doubles, Tayla Wilmot and Stad Fani Fanyi Nformi from Cameroon defeated Yenzokuhle Dladla and Sophia Fuller 6-1, 6-1 to claim trophy glory.
