Limpopo Claim Double Victory on Day 2 of CSA U19 Action

Limpopo are in fine form claiming back-to-back wins on Day Two of the CSA U19 girl’s tournament.

In their first T20 match against SWD, Limpopo elected to field. SWD scored 47/7 in their 20 overs as Faith de Jonk top scored with 19(30). Limpopo chased it down 51/3 in 12.1 overs, with Nkateko Shiburi top scoring 15(27).

They faced Easterns in their next game. Limpopo posted a total of 86/4 with Koketso top scoring 31(53). Easterns responded well but fell short by 5 runs, with Madison Landsman stop scoring 38(26) hitting 6×4.

KZN Coastal recorded their second consecutive double win with both matches against Mpumalanga. In the 50-over format, Mpumalanga were bowled out for 37 in 19.4 overs. Coastal chased it down in 11.5 overs. In the T20 format, Mpumalanga posted 65/7 with Jacolien Du Preez top scoring 18(34). Coastal reached 66/8 in their innings.

Gauteng claimed their second win when they beat Eastern Province by 4 wickets. EP were bowled out for 84, with Amber Both top scoring 35(94), Refilwe Moncho pick of the Gauteng bowlers 5-11

WP also recorded their second win against Free State, posting 171/10 and Free State scored 96/9. WP won by 75 runs.

Northerns claimed their first victory beating North West by 19 runs in their encounter.

Boland beat border by 23 runs, with Messana Cloeta and Cari Steenkamp being the pick of the bowlers for Boland.

KZN Inland beat Northern Cape in their encounter. Inland posted 42/10 in 19.2. Inland bowled Northern Cape 38/10 with Gabisile Nkosi taking an impressive 6-10 for the KZN side to win by 4 runs.
