Springbok Women’s Lusanda Dumke and international renowned referee, Aimee Barrett-Theron, made headlines winning prestigious accolades at the SA Rugby Awards on Thursday, 27 January 2022.

Dumke won the first-ever Springbok Women’s Player of the Year award, also adding the Provincial Women’s Player of the Year to her list after leading her team to the Women’s Premier Division crown.
To cap her outstanding season on the field, Barrett-Theron won the OUTsurance Referee of the Year for a second time after having previously scooped the accolade in 2019.
