In 2015, Kapp was one of only four South Africans who were selected to participate in the inaugural Women’s Big Bash League season.
She completed the first season with 17 wickets and the best economic rate in the tournament for runners-up Sydney Sixers.
Scorchers coach Shelley Nitschke described Kapp as a tough competitor who got the job done, especially in backs-to-the-wall situations.
Scorchers coach Shelley Nitschke described Kapp as a tough competitor who got the job done, especially in backs-to-the-wall situations.
“It’s exciting for Kappie, she’s been such a servant of the WBBL and been out here since it started,” Nitschke said.
“She’s such a tough competitor and I think when the chips are down, she just loves being in the contest so you can always back her in to get the job done.
“She’s such a valuable asset for us with the bat, bowling and in the field so we’re really lucky to have her services,” Nitschke concluded.
