Banyana Banyana defender, Bambanani Mbane, is making a big impression in Minsk after just three games with her new club, Dinamo-BSUPC.
According to goal.com, the South African international opened her Belarusian Women’s Football Championship goal account with an impressive hat-trick to power her club to a 5-0 half time lead on their way to a 10-0 win over Bostor.
The one-sided win at Minsk Stadium took Dinamo to the top of the standings, and kickstarted Mbane’s goal account for her new club.
In the 26th minute, Dinamo was awarded a penalty which Mbane converted for her debut goal in the Belarusian Womens Football Championship.
Eleven minutes later, she bagged her brace off an assist from Linnik Anastasia to double Dinamo-BSUPC’s score in the 37th minute.
Mbane’s impressive performance continued when she achieved her hat-trick, thanks to an assist from Vita Nikolaenko, two minutes from half-time, to play her part in taking Dinamo to a 5-0 lead at halftime.
Dinamo went on to record an impressive 10-0 win to go top of the log on superior goal difference (+2), tied with champions Minsk on nine points from three matches this season.
Mbane was one of three African players, Cameroon’s Claudia Dabda and Burkina Faso’s Salimata Simpore who joined the Dinamo during the winter transfer window and have all impressed since their opening game on April 16.
