Masilela
was named as the Sponsor’s Selection Drive at the recent inaugural
Women in Motorsport Shootout Challenge, and was given the opportunity
race a spare Class C car for the Venditor Konica Minolta Team, provided
sufficient sponsorship could be sought to run the car for a season.

MFC announced on Monday that it would be providing the money to the run the Class C VW for Masilela,  a 32-year-old System Administrator, who has experience as a rally navigator and is no stranger to the fast pace of motorsport.

Her limited driving experience did not hold her back during the competition, as she surprised all with her skill and car control.

With the backing of MFC, Masilela has secured herself a drive in a 1.6 Volkswagen Citi Golf, which she will race in class C in the Goldwagen VW Challenge under the banner of MFC, and Venditor Konica Minolta Racing.
