Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies attacker, Miché Minnies had an impressive debut season for the Tshwane side as she finished the season with 23 goals across three competitions.
Minnies, who joined Sundowns from Vasco da Gama, played an impressive role in the Hollywoodbets Super League, COSAFA Qualifiers and CAF Women’s Champions League.
Speaking to sundownsfc.co.za, Minnies reflected on the season and getting the opportunity to play in a quality-based side, saying: “It is such a privilege to play for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies because it has allowed me to play with several quality players.
“Also, I am proud of the valuable insights I have obtained from some of the experienced players in the squad. The chemistry I have formed with fellow strikers in such a short time means so much to me.”
The 21-year-old rising star also shared her highlights, one of them being the four goals she scored against First Touch Ladies in a league encounter.
“I have enjoyed several beautiful moments since I joined this illustrious club. Scoring four times in one game and reaching two continental finals are just some of the highlights of my debut season. Although I am happy with the number of goals I scored, contributing to the team’s overall success which included retaining the Hollywoodbets Super League made me excited. It gives me great joy to also assist my teammates because we are built to fight for each other.”
Minnies also revealed her ambitions for next season and stated her aim to continue contributing to the team’s success as they look to add more silverware to their cabinet at Chloorkop.
