The Momentum #gsport15 finalist announcement kickstarted Women’s Month on social media with a bang.
South Africans woke up to the highly anticipated release of the list of the 60 finalists following another successful year for South Africa’s women in sport.
The energy online was very much palpable as supporters responded with praise and happiness for the contenders. As expected, these amazing heroines were also beaming with pride and gratitude for the recognition.
One cannot ignore the headache that is presented to the public that will have to cast their votes in the various categories, including the new the Global Women in Sport award and the African Women in Sport Award.
If the excitement on @gsport4girls’ Twitter page is anything to go by, we are in for one exciting evening on the 31st of August, as the longest running women’s sports awards in South Africa also celebrates its 14th birthday.
