The Hollywoodbets Super League Week 3 Festival opened with a pair of four-goal performances as TS Galaxy Queens and the University of Johannesburg both claimed comfortable victories on the first day of action at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, on Friday, 26 June 2026.

The festival format, which gathers the league’s clubs for concentrated three-day windows at a single host venue, brought eight fixtures across the Super Era and Super Rise streams to Limpopo for the third instalment of the season. Day one served up two contests, one in each stream, running from mid-afternoon into the floodlit evening, and both produced a winner in emphatic four-goal form.

The University of Johannesburg set the tone in the afternoon’s Super Rise opener, overpowering Tshwane University of Technology 4-2 in a six-goal contest they controlled from an early double. Lusanda Mavundla opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and Mpho Dlamini doubled the lead just a minute later.

Yolanda Nduli made it three from the penalty spot on 34 minutes to leave the students firmly in command at the interval. Tshwane University of Technology refused to fold after the break, pulling a goal back through a Sibongile Ntoane penalty in the 57th minute, but Dlamini restored the three-goal cushion in open play on 67 minutes to settle the outcome.

Mamokgaase Senyatsi added a deserved second for Tshwane University of Technology deep into stoppage time, though the University of Johannesburg saw out a 4-2 win.

The evening Super Era fixture followed a similar arc as TS Galaxy Queens proved too strong for Diepkloof Ladies under the Polokwane lights, running out 4-1 winners. Leandra Smeda struck early and often, her brace in the third and 23rd minutes handing the Queens a two-goal lead by half-time.

Babalwa Mngxunya stretched the advantage in the 61st minute, and captain Refiloe Jane added a fourth on 66 minutes to put the result beyond doubt. Diepkloof Ladies claimed a consolation through a Jamie-lee Witbooi penalty in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, a reward for their persistence even as the contest had long been settled.

The opening day leaves both winners with maximum points as the Week 3 Festival builds towards its conclusion.

Six more matches follow across Saturday and Sunday, with the Super Era programme featuring Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies against Richmond United Ladies and Stellenbosch FC against Copperbelt Ladies FC, while the Super Rise stream offers JVW FC against Ezemvelo Women’s FC, Ramatlaohle Ladies FC against University of Fort Hare and City Lads Ladies FC against First Touch Academy.

Every fixture takes place at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, with free entrance for supporters throughout the festival.
