South African rising star, Naledi Manyube, bagged three consecutive ITF Junior Grade 5 titles in two weeks, which concluded in Durban on Friday, 4 February 2022.
Going into the tournament, Manyube reveals that she was confident after having put in extra time on the courts: “I felt very good going into the tournament and very confident because I knew I trained really hard during the December holidays.”
Playing in her last tournament as junior, Manyube says: “Playing the two tournaments felt very good to be back. I think what made it very special is it’s my last year as a junior, so it was exciting knowing I’m playing my last ITF.
“My performances throughout were very controlled and I was very confident in my game and really played it. Realizing that I played finals and won is still crazy, so I’m really happy I played,” she concluded.
