Namibia made history becoming the first African country to win the 2022 World Junior Inline Hockey World Cup crown, after defeating USA 9-1 in Buenos Aires at the World Skate Games on Sunday, 7 November.
This victory will usher in a new era for hockey in the country, as the latest crop have paved the way for the next generation.
The top goalscorer of the tournament, Christine Rottcher, played a massive role in the final against USA where she contributed 4 goals to the tally.
Her teammates, Maike Dedig added a brace to the scoreline, while Lomarie Fourie, Leighzene Fourie and Lana Bajorat added a goal each.
