Netball South Africa calls upon South Africans and netball fans across the globe to join the #NetballFriday campaign ahead of the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town.
On Friday, 4 February 2022, NSA launched the campaign in Sandton, Johannesburg, which was attended by dignitaries in the sport industry.

CEO of Netball South Africa, Blanche de la Guerre, emphasized the importance of Netball Fridays to create awareness and encourage success in the country ahead of the World Cup.
“We want to call on all sports people, male and female, families, non-netball players, please wear your t-shirts so that those who don’t know about the world cup are aware of the world cup in 2023 and support the Spar Proteas,” de la Guerre said.
In attendance were the Spar Proteas, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, former netball stars including Erin Burger and Simi Mdaka, Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa and Deputy Minister, Nocawe Mafu, who came to show support of this great initiative.
After the completion of the formalities, the netball legends took on the African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and the Spar Proteas took on the SA male Netball team in two friendlies to end off the day.
