The United Arab Emirates Rugby Federation announced the appointment of Kenyan Lionesses skipper, Philadelphia Orlando, as head coach of the Emirati national women’s team.
Orlando, who represented the Kenyan Lionesses for 13 years, will be responsible for developing a new strategy to train and develop players from Al Maha club and the national team,.
The two-time Olympian revealed that the challenge is good for her personal development: “This is a new challenge for my personal development and an exciting opportunity that has availed to me that I gladly accept with honour.
“The Emirati is an unbelievable brand, and I am excited about the challenge and how I can positively contribute to making Emirati successful. This will be a collective effort by every person involved in the set-up and if I can contribute in any way to achieving their vision, that would be great,” she concluded.
