SAFA administrator, Potso Mohami, passed her first CAF assignment with flying colours as she was one of two coordinators selected to ensure that the inaugural Women’s Champions League tournament hosted in Egypt was a success.
The rising CAF General Coordinator was fortunate to witness Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies win the continental title at the tournament as she was in charge Group B which included Sundowns Ladies, Vihiga Queens, ASFAR and River Angels.
“My main task consisted of making sure that all games were played in a perfect environment without any hiccups and it was really a great eye opener,” she explained.
Mohami revealed her goals and aspirations going forward, saying: “My main aim now is to grow as GC because this was initially a male dominated environment.
“I want to show the football world that what men can do, women can do better. I want to go all the way and be GC of the FIFA World Cup one day. I have tasted this sweet journey and I now want to go all the way,” she added.
“I would like to thank SAFA and COSAFA for their support in developing me to be the person that I am today. It is also my objective to inspire and encourage other women to venture into spaces like these,” Mohami concluded.
