Appearances: The Italian’s women team will return to the tournament for the third time after 20 years, having qualified for the inaugural tournament in 1991 and the third edition in 1999.

Brazil:
Appearances: The reigning Women’s COPA America champions having qualified for every edition of the FIFA Women’s World cup and this will be their eighth appearance.
FIFA Ranking: The Brazilians are currently ranked as the 10th best women’s team in the world.
Number of world cup titles: Though they have qualified for every edition of the world cup, Brazil is yet to clinch the FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy.
Players to look out for: Marta Vieira da Silva and Andressa Cavalari Machry
Jamaica:
Appearances: The Jamaican national women’s team will be making their debut at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World cup; it is for this reason that football pundits have deemed them as the underdogs of group C.
FIFA Ranking: They are the lowest ranked team in-group C, ranked as the 53rd best women’s team in the world.
Number of world cup titles: 0
Players to look out for: Khadija Shaw and Jody Brown
