* South Africa’s first ever try in the Women’s RWC was scored by Zolisa Noxeke.
* No drop goals were kicked in the opening six games.
* Australia and New Zealand scored the most tries with 10 against South Africa and Canada respectively – three more than France – while Ireland, Spain and the USA are all yet to cross the try line.
* Defending champions New Zealand converted eight of the 10 tries they scored, two more than Australia managed. Kazakhstan were the only try scorers not to kick the conversion.
* The three leading individual point’s scorers are all Australian in Ruan Sims (20), Tobie McGann (19) and Tricia Brown (15). The latter is tied with Catherine Devillers of France and New Zealand’s Claire Richardson.

* The leading points scorers are Australia with 68, two more than their neighbours New Zealand with France the third highest scorers with 43 against Ireland. Three nations are yet to open their accounts in Ireland, Spain and the USA.
* Seventeen of the players who appeared for the Wallaroos in their 68-12 defeat of South Africa – their biggest ever winning margin – were making their debuts for Australia.
* A total of 263 points were scored on the opening day at an average of 43.8 a game.
* Black Ferns scrum half Emma Jensen tops the list with four conversions, one more than her team-mate Hannah Myers and Australian duo Kelli Donnnelly and Tobie McGann.
* Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand and Samoa all made seven replacements in their opening games. The fewest made by any team was three with the USA.
* Twenty-eight different players scored tries on the opening day – 21 of them crossing the line once. Four players scored three or more tries in Ruan Sims and Tricia Brown of Australia, Catherine Devillers of France and Claire Richardson of New Zealand.
* Ruan Sims was the leading try scorer with four tries – the first player ever to score four tries for the Wallaroos.
* England replacement Shelley Rae kicked two of the five penalties.
* Seven different players scored tries for New Zealand against hosts Canada, whereas only four players were responsible for Australia’s 10 tries in their defeat of South Africa.
* A total of 70 replacements were made by the 12 teams on the opening day.
