Louise Lepront and Gemma Hanafey will fly South Africa’s flag at the World Junior Championships at Seaside Reef in San Diego, California from 9-15 January 2023.
The competition will include rising surfers, aged 20 and under, who will be vying for top honours.
Lepront is the current Under 14 SA champion. She was also the youngest competitor to feature at the inaugural 2022 Women’s Ballito Pro Challenger Series.
While, Hanafey competed in the final of the 2022 Sea Harvest South African Surfing Championships.
