The South Africa U19 Women’s team will look to redeem themselves in their last warm-up match against Australia, after their loss through DLS Method to Bangladesh on Monday, 09 January 2023.
Bangladesh won by 7 wickets, as the match was affected by rain.
In the first innings, South Africa were dismissed for 98/9 in 20 overs with captain Oluhle Siyo top scoring with 32 runs.
Bangladesh bowler, Dipa Khatun bagged two wickets on the day, dismissing Elandri Janse van Rensburg 2/12 and Simone Lourens 29/21.
Kayla Reyneke (2) and Madison Landsman (3) were bowled out by Disha Biswas.
Bangladesh played 14 overs, scoring 72/4.
Seshnie Naidu took two wickets – Afia Prottasha 19/33 and Sumaiya Akter 8/16, while Ayanda Hlubi dismissed Dilara Akter for a run and Kayla Reyneke bowled out Marufa Akter for 14.
Coach Dinesha Devnarain’s side go into their last warm up match against Australia on Wednesday, 11 January 2023 at St Stithians College. The match starts at 13:45 CAT.
