FNB Sponsorship Specialist Shafeeqah Isaacs has been honoured with the Africa Weeks Africa’s Future is Female Award in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 15 February 2023.
Isaacs was amongst powerful women who were shortlisted for the continent’s largest gathering of marketing, media and technology leaders and eventually made it to the Top 10 of the overall winners.
Speaking to gsport, Isaacs said: “The best part was when I announced it on my social media and so many people I had worked with in the past, in all my previous roles, messaged me recalling stories and reminding me of moments when my ideas and my work made a big difference to their lives and their organisations. My impostor syndrome didn’t allow me to feel that I deserved the award until that moment!” she said.
“It’s been an amazing few days since then. Obviously my friends and family are pretty proud. But I’ve also had many people from across the world contact me to wish me and to introduce themselves and network. It feels like the start of something great,” concluded Isaacs.
