South Africa have earned 2 out of 3 wins on the first day of the Fast 5 Netball World Series in Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday, 5 November 2022.
The team opened their Fast 5 Netball World Series campaign with a win over England. In the first quarter the score was locked at 8-8.
However, at the end of the second quarter, South Africa led 10-7. In the third stanza, England managed to score 8 points to SA’s 7, but it was the ladies in green who managed to make the last quarter count to win 32-26.
In their second game against Australia, the team put on a great effort, but it wasn’t enough as Australians walked away winners with a 25-19 victory.
The last match of the day saw South Africa come from behind to grab a narrow 28-27 win over Jamaica in the last minute of power play.
