Provincial netball representatives gathered at the Birchwood Conference Centre on Saturday, 30 September for the 2023 South African Schools Netball Annual General Meeting.
A new and all female executive committee was elected with the aim for a better future for the players, match officials and mainly for the benefit of netball at school level.
The newly elected executive committee is as follows:
President: Di Woolley
Vice-president: Karin Potgieter
Secretary: Ronelle Nell
Convener Primary: Betty Phala
Convener Secondary: Angy Kgomo-Kekana
Treasurer: Marinda Behr
PRO: Elmari Craig
Convener Umpires: Regina Ntyae
Convener Coaches: Charmaine Beetge
Special projects: Petru van Zyl
Disability: Wandy Mamatela
Marie le Roux, Nikiwe Sono, Netta van Zyl, Singwata Magida, Victor Seakamela, were elected into sub-committees, whilst Lize Basson, Jongi Makutwana, Christa Gladd, Antoinette Husselman was elected into the Umpires Committee.
A special word of thanks was given to Nellie Makhathini for over 30 years of service to school’s netball, as well as Singwata Magida and Constance Monyobo for their hard work and dedication to schools netball.
